Greener Aviation 2016 Conference

The Greener Aviation 2016 conference,  now its second edition will once again convene in Brussels on 11th to 13th October, organised by 3AF with the support of the Clean Sky Joint Undertaking and the Council of European Aeronautical Societies (CEAS). The conference will gather delegates and participants to assess the achievement and challenges of greening aviation in Europe and internationally.

Over the course of the three days, technical sessions will be held covering various aspects of aviation that seek to reduce greenhouse gases, local pollution and noise: engines, equipment and systems technology, as well as air transport operations. The three-day event will thus provide a unique overview of the worldwide research efforts for improving the impact of aviation on the environment and new market standards.

As part of the programme, Rik Parker, Chairman of the Clean Sky Governing Board, and Robert-Jan Smits, General Director within DG Research and Innovation at the European Commission will address the conference in the opening plenary. In addition to contributions from Ron van Manen, Programme Manager  Clean Sky 2,  who will lead a session on the closing day of the event. We look forward to hearing the fruitful contributions from Europe and beyond.
